£1million Community Match Funding Scheme

Hampshire County Council is launching a Match Funding scheme to help communities that are considering a self-funding route to get superfast broadband.

Their £1million scheme is designed to offer support to communities in the last 2.6% of properties in Hampshire that are not currently expected to be covered by the Hampshire Superfast Broadband Programme.

The County Council will provide up to half of the funding to match money raised by communities in order to install and maintain a superfast broadband connection in their area. Communities in Hampshire in post code areas that won’t be covered, or will only be partially covered, by the Hampshire Superfast Broadband programme will be eligible for the scheme.

More information is available in the Superfast Hampshire Community match funding guide.

We will assist any communities in the Hampshire area wanting to explore a community fibre partnership via this approach.  Use the Line checker on our website first of all to check you’re not in any rollout plans, before registering for the next step – with no obligation.
